"CALLIE" NEEL TAHLEQUAH- Services will be held for B.C. (Benjamin Calvin "Callie") Neel, 87, Tuesday, (20 July 1976) at 10 a.m., in Reed Culver Funeral Chapel with Reverend Renus Warren officiating. Neel died Friday, (16 July 1976) at the Tahlequah City Hospital. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetary. Born March 30, 1889, in Mountain View Missouri, Neel spent most of his life in Cherokee and Mayes Counties. He was a retired farmer and stockman. (He also raced horses locally in his younger days.) His, Wife, Willora, died in June 1975. Survivors include 5 sons, Bert, Ollie, and Roy all of Tahlequah,; [Bert and Ollie lived in CA and had for many years and are buried there. They were alive when this was written but are now deceased ) Robert of Los Angeles, California, and LC of Bixby; two daughters, Jewel Van Osdol of Los Angeles and Geraldine Crawford of Muskogee; a brother Walter of Tahlequah; two sisters Faye Rudy of Los Angeles and Pearl Houston of Tahlequah; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
