She was born Nov.4, 1920, in Wahilla, to Marion J. and Lura (Wade)Sellers, and was a long time Cherokee County resident. On May 21, 1986, she married Ralph D. Conrad, who survives her. She worked as an in-home health caregiver for many years. She was a former member of Masina Full Gospel Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Currently, she was a member of Faith Chapel Church in Moodys. Survivors include her husband, Ralph; six sons, Thelbert Barnes and wife Wanda, Delbert “Pete” Barnes and wife Nancy, Larry Joe Barnes and wife Reva, Darrell Barnes, Billy Barnes, and Coy Barnes and his wife Kim, all of Tahlequah; two daughters, Laveda Showalter and husband Larry, and Florence Myers and husband Bill, both of Hutchinson, Kan.; three step sons, Jim Conrad and wife Lisa, Richard Conrad and wife Gail, and Bob Conrad and wife Jana; two step daughters, Eliose Ogel and husband James, and Deloris Rucker; a sister, Maxine Kelley of Culleoka, Tenn.; a brother, Marion J. Sellers Jr. and wife Joy, of Farmington, Ark.; 35 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Christine was preceded in death by her first husband, Ted Barnes; a daughter, Freeda Maxine Barnes; a son, Teddy George Barnes; her parents, Marion and Lura Sellers; a brother, George Sellers; two sisters, Alice Fallen and Leola Mourning; two grandsons, Tommy Showalter and Baby Boy Barnes; a great-granddaughter, Baby Girl Kelley; and a great-grandson, Derek Barnes. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Bobby Long and Rev. Rob Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Barnes Family Cemetery. Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs. Conrad’s grandsons.
