Virgil Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Tahlequah City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. Charlotte Hornett Hart, daughter of the late Thompson and Janeanna (Parris) Hornett, was born Feb. 15, 1909, in Gideon, and departed this life on Sunday, April 21, 2002, in Tahlequah, after reaching the age of 93. Lifelong residents of Cherokee County, Charlotte and her husband, Watie, both worked at Hastings Hospital and retired after 52 years of combined service. She and her husband were members of the Grace Baptist Church for many years and also attended the First Indian Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Hastings Hospital Auxiliary. Charlotte was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who will be missed immensely. She was preceded in death by her husband Watie; one son, Frank Ruble; one grandson, Phillip Ruble; four sisters, Mollie Hornett, Nana Lowery, Vinnie Pickup and Thelma Queton; and three brothers, Frank, James and Dan Hornett. She is survived by a sister, Lorena Hall and husband George, of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Pete Goad of Farmington, N.M.; and William Ruble and wife Charlene, of Orange, Calif.; one stepson, John Hart and wife Darlene of Broken Arrow; 12 grandchildren, Dyton Goad, Jan Mitchell, Suzanne Jonas, Stan and Forest Hart, Cherokee Alexander and James, Michael, Jennifer, Christopher, Andrew and David Ruble; 10 great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Derrick Goad, Spencer and Joseph Ruble, Vanessa, Jimmy and Bryan Alexander, and Angie, Starr and Kacey Hart; Two sisters-in-law, Winnie and Geneva Hornett; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many friends and loved ones.
