Dr. Nancy C. Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joe Long, Dell Hall, Mark Hildreth, David Coles, Keith Davis and Rex Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Dusty Coles, Chris Barnhart and Glen Brown. Jody was born in Okmulgee, the daughter of Tommy and Dorothy Jean (Fudge) Thompson, Aug. 1, 1946, and passed from this life June 4, 2005, at Tahlequah. Jody attended Tahlequah schools, and was a graduate of Tahlequah High School before attending NSU. She and Knotchie McCrary Jr. were wed on Nov. 11, 1971, in Tahlequah. Dorothy had worked as a personnel specialist for Indian Health Services before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed raising and taking care of her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jean Baker; and an infant daughter, Suzannah McCrary. She is survived by her husband of 33 and 1/2 years; two sons, Knotchie McCrary III and his wife Monica of Tahlequah, and Matthew McCrary of the home; four grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Chad and Trent; a brother Jim Thompson and his wife Zerita of Muskogee; her caretaker and close friend, Judy Sowles; several nieces and nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.
