George C Bowling officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Springs Cemetery under of Hart Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are his nephews, Wayne Fisher, Kirby Fisher, Willard Fisher, Garth Fisher, Jerry Garroutte and Bill Garroutte. Evan Garroutte, son of Samuel Anderson Garroutte and Etta (Welch) Garroutte, was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Gideon, Oklahoma and died Thursday, March 28, 2002 in Tulsa. Evan served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Evan was a self- educated man who loved to read. He loved working at Pryor Auction Yard. A true neighbor, he spent hours helping put up hay or fixing a fence. And most of all , he loved spending time on his ranch. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters, Samuel Garroutte, Ellis Garroutte, Zella Grubbs, Daisy Fisher, Edith Fisher, Estella Johnson Yarbrough, Louse Garroutte, Leota Fautt and Judy Strand. Evan is survived by one sister, Wilma Sue Burgt of Palm Springs, Calif.; two brothers, Lewis Garroutte of Watsonvile, Calif. and Loyd Garroutte of x; several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
