ROSS, JAMES C. 21 December 1933 - 20 January 1999 JAMES CLINTON "J.C." ROSS, 65, of Comstock, Texas, died January 20th, 1999, at Baptist Hospital, San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Ross was a native of Tallequah [Tahlequah], Oklahoma. He lived in Comstock one year and previously lived in Patterson 20 years. He had retired after a 33-year career with Granite Construction. He was a project supervisor and was foreman of the Pacheco Pass Aqueduct project. Previously, he worked for John Delphia Construction. He was a 1951 graduate of Patterson High School and attended Modesto Junior College. He was an Army veteran, serving from 1956 to 1959. He is survived by his wife, Nora Ross of Comstock; step-children, Lupe Prince of Hollister, Barbie Brown, Joey Norwood and Timothy Norwood, all of Livermore, and Paul Bendele Bill and Joe Bendele Bill, both of Santa Maria; mother and stepfather, Atral Anita Ross Comingdeer and Clarence Comingdeer of Redding; sister, Clora Ross Bowman Johnston of Sacramento; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. A memorial service was held in Patterson, and G. W. Cox Funeral Home, Del Rio, Texas, was in charge of burial arrangements in Texas.
