Gil Hooper officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Pallbearers include Kevin Wilson, Gary Torix, Randolph Ballard, Gary Ballard, Brian Jones and Mark Pritchett. Honorary pallbearers include Robin Ballard, Leo Murphy, Ricky Silk, Shannon Jones, Bill Jackson, Rodney Ballard and Les Gourd. Funeral arrangements directed by Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Jim Ballard passed from this life Friday, June 3, 2005, in Tulsa at the age of 70. He was born April 15, 1935, in Braggs, to John and Bertha (Langton) Ballard. Jim enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing the fiddle and chicken fighting, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Faye (Pritchett) Ballard; his parents, John and Bertha Ballard; three sisters: Maudell Wichliff, Margie Oung and Ima Jean Sparks; and a grandson, Greg Torix. He is survived by four daughters, Joyce (Leon) Torix of Tahlequah, Lois (Tim) Wofford of Tahlequah, Terry (Brad) Taft of Grand Prairie, Texas; and Jimmie Bloodworth of Ratliff City; two sons, Cecil and Gerald Ballard, both of Tahlequah; two sisters, Sallie Hendricks and Loretta Jones, both of Tahlequah; two brothers, Howard (Rosie) Ballard and Hubert (Betty) Ballard, both of Tahlequah; 10 grandchildren, Jimmy Don Bloodworth, Kevin Wilson, Jennifer (Stephen) Conpean, Gary Torix, Bethany Gains, Jessica Wofford, Tammie Wofford, Sarah Wofford, Kaelynn Taft and Gregory Taft, a great-granddaughter, Lillian Conpean; and a host of extended relatives and friends.
