Column, TELLING TAHLEQUAH. (From a loose paper in a box of keepsakes.) Died June 14, 1989. LAKESIDE, Cal.-- Jewell Yeats, 60, formerly of Tahlequah, passed away Thursday, June 14 at the home of her son in Lakeside, Cal. A prayer service was held for Mrs. Yerats June 16 with Father Richard Landry and Brother Edward Nolan officiating. Born in Tahlequah, Nov 20, 1923, Mrs. Yeats was reared and educated in Tahlequah. She moved to Tulsa in 1943 where she was employed by the Bell Telephone Co. She was later transferred to the Los Angeles area and was still employed by the telephone company at the time of her death. She married Eugene Yeats in March 1946 and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her son Dan; daughter-in-law Toddy; two grandsons, Johathan Yeats and Mann Hernandez; two sisters, Ruth Weaver of Tulsa and Fern Fesperman of Bartlesville; and several neices and nephews.
