JAMES "FRANK" HICKS
Funeral services for James Franklin Hicks were held at 2 p.m. July 27, 2002 
at the Reed Culver Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Holcomb officiating.  

Burial followed at the Hendricks Cemetery.  

Frank Hicks was born June 10, 1928 in Henderson Arkansas the son of William 
Lawson and Anna Belle (Andrews) Hicks and he departed this life on July 25, 
2002 in Tahlequah, OK.  

He grew up  in Henderson, AR and served in the United States Army during WWII.  

Frank married Della Mae Hall Dec. 29, 1967 , they lived in Yukon, Oklahoma 
where he was a member of the Teamsters Local 886 and a driver for Yellow 
Freight Company.  

After retiring in 1989 they moved to Tahlequah.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers,  William, 
Robert and Virgil Hicks.  

Frank is survived by his wife Della, of the home; six sons, Jim Hicks 
and Michael Thornton II, both of the home, Paul Thornton of Tahlequah, 
Robert Thornton of Tulsa, Mike Thornton of Tahlequah and Richard Thornton 
of Kansas City, Kansas; his brother, Henry Hicks of Tahlequah, and four 
grandchildren
