He passed away September 27, 2007 at the age of 42 years. Jeff was a heavy machinery operator. He was a 1983 graduate of Muskogee High School and a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Jeff always had a grin for everyone. He loved spending time with his children and granddaughter and was known as the “cheeser’’ to friends and enjoyed coaching his children’s ball teams. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Britnie Holmes; sons, Colby Holmes and Dakota Storm Holmes; a granddaughter, Madison Faith; his mother, Annie Holmes; sisters, Mary Drywater, Mildred Bowlings, Gracie Wilburn, Kathy Ketcher, Ella Mae Gilbreth , Ramona Finch and Vivian Holmes; brothers, Joe D. Holmes and Mitchell Dwayne Holmes, along with many nieces and nephews and extended relatives. Funeral ceremony will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Reed Culver Chapel with Rev. Bill Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery west of Muskogee. Pallbearers will be Edward Burris, Sr., Charlie Burris, James Stockton, Bobby Pilkerton, Edward Burris, Jr. and Brent Wilson. Arrangements under the direction of Reed Culver Funeral Home, 456-2551.
