Mrs. Gibbs, 82, of Central Point, died Sunday (Jan. 12, 2003) at a care facility in Central Point. She was born March 7, 1920, in Tahlequah, Okla., to Henry R. and Onva (Horner) Stevens). She lived in Long Beach, Calif., in her early years. She married Donald Gibbs, who died in 1998. They lived in San Martin, Calif. She later moved to Medford, then to Washington before returning to Central Point. Mrs. Gibbs was a homemaker for most of her life, raising her family and working the ranch with her husband. She was a seamstress and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include a son, Danny, Central Point; a daughter, Judy Hogue, Medford; a brother, Howard Stevens, in California; a sister, Floy Schoppe, in Texas; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lemon; two sisters, Ruby Meikle and Maxine Ferguson; and a brother, Norwood Stevens. Friends may pay their respects from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, 550 Business Park Drive, Medford. Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.
