Services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2002 in the Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. J.W. Copeland officiating. Interment followed in Lost City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements and services were under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home. Mary V. Copeland was born March 20, 1919 in Strang to Robert L and Rhoda A. (Davis) Marshall. Mary married Otis Copeland in 1937 who preceded her in death. She enjoyed cooking and sewing . She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Louise Dumond and her son Chester Copeland. She is survived by : son Bob Copeland and his wife Sandy of Fort Gibson; her sister Charlene Pruitt of Hulbert; her brothers Delmas Marshall of Hulbert and Junior Marshall of Oregon.; her step-children J.W. Copeland of Tahlequah, Henry Copeland of Bartlesville and Faye Stringfellow of Tulsa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Note: She is buried in Lost City Cemetery which is in Cherokee County, not to mention she lived most of her life in Cherokee County so I am sending her to be added to our page as well as Wagoner's.
