The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ MARY ARMINTIA SPARKS OCNS - September 13, 2000 - Services for Mary Armintia Sparks, 87, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah, with the Reverend Clayton Bowling officiating. Pallbearers will be Quinton Champlain, Mike Champlain, Eric Sparks, Jeff Sparks, Joe Wayne Sparks and Roger Jordan. Mary was born to Mary Ann Frances Hendricks and William Walter Schubert on April 13, 1913 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, where she grew up, attending Eureka and Mt. Zion Schools. In 1931 she married Bill Sparks and was a homemaker and had worked at Ozark Nursery near Tahlequah. She was of the Pentcostal Holiness faith. She passed away September 11, in Bristow, Oklahoma, after reaching the age of eighty-seven years, four months and twenty-eight days. Mary was preceded in death by her husband in 1956, three brothers, two sisters, two sons, William J. and Clinton Sparks and one grandson, Jimmy Ray Sparks. Mary is survived by her daughters, Dora Nottingham of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Mary and husband, Ron Champlain of Depew, Oklahoma; and Beulah and husband, Mike Callahan of Tulsa; two sons, Oreland and wife, Carolyn Sparks of Tulsa; James Allen and wife, Kay Sparks of Depew; and one sister, Ruth and husband, Ray Hix of Muskogee, Oklahoma; twenty-seven grandchildren, sixty- two great grandchildren; twenty-five great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Reed Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, is in charge of arrangements.
