She was born July 17, 1920 in Tahlequah to Samuel “Carl” and Liddie Susie (Tutt) McClure. Mildred loved going to the Crescent Valley Jamboree and lit up when listening to “Rocking Chair.” Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Walter John William Stanley,her parents, Samuel “Carl” and Liddie McClure, two sisters, Jewel Moss and Kathleen Sanderson, three brothers, Lee, Lon, and Charlie McClure, and a brother-in-law, Jack Dobson. She is survived by three daughters, Rosalie Owens, Violet Dobson, and Sue Terrell and husband Johnny, two sons, Walter John Stanley Jr. and wife Sally and Hubbard M. Stanley and wife Jane, one sister, Wilma Anderson and husband Joe, ten grandchildren, Becky Campbell and husband Ian, Robin Lawhorn and husband Eric, Tammy Ford and husband Billy, Jana Ross and husband Shane, Johnny Terrell and wife Dana, J.W. Dobson and wife Carissa, Hubbard Stanley, George Dobson, Heidi Friend and husband David, and Richard Dobson, 17 great-grandchildren, Steven Clay and wife Lena, Biff, Holly, and Sarah Anna Ford, Erica Lynch, Evan and Alden Terrell, Cathy and Rachel Lawhorn, Hannah, Hubbard, and Jayden Stanley, D.J. and Bailey Ross, Jacklyn, Jack Jr., and Ben Dobson, Tucker Friend, and Seth Campbell, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 16, 2006 at Crescent Valley Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Parker, Rev. Billy Holcomb and Sal Sevier officiating. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery. Pallbearers include J.W. Dobson, George Dobson, Richard Dobson, Hubbard Stanley, John Lee Terrell, Steven Clay, David Friend, and Tony McClure.
