(NAIL) SILK Parkhill--Funeral services for Minnie M. (Nail) Silk, 86, of Park Hill, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Rev. J. E. Cook officiating. Burial will follow at the White Oak Cemetery at Qualls. Services are under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Jonathan Silk, Benjamin Silk, Sarah B. Csar, Lauren Silk, Katherine Walker, Anna Csar, Jimmy Don Horn, Johnnie Lee Raincrow and Ricky Pettit. Minnie M. Silk was born June 27, 1915 in Newton County Ark., the daughter of Thomas and Mary "Molly" Emeline (King) Nail and she passed from this life on Sunday, April 14, 2002 in Tulsa. Minnie moved to Oklahoma in 1938, settling along the Illinois River, which is now Lake Tenkiller. She married Louis Russell Silk Oct. 29, 1946, and they made their home at Qualls. Minnie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved making quilts, gardening and reading. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louis in 1991; one brother, Herbert Nail; and one sister, Nora Nail Cookson. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Silk Walker of Portland Ore., Norma Faye Silk Csar of Edwardsville, Ill., and Donna Silk Willis of Norman; two sons, Jerry Raymond Silk of Broken Arrow and Charley Silk of Mesquite, Texas; three brothers, Jesse Reid Nail, Sherman True Nail and Thomas Aquila Nail, all of Cookson; three sisters, Lizzie Cleo Nail Parker of Collinsville, Phebe Catherine Nail of Cookson, and Ugie Ethel Nail Horn of Stilwell. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to all family, friends and neighbors during this difficult time. Minnie appreciated, respected and loved all of you.
