The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================== Submitted by: Shelley Lynch on 26Oct2007 Published October 25, 2007 Muskogee Phoenix Marjorie Pauline Smith 1931 - 2007 Memorial services for Marjorie Pauline Smith, 76 of Park Hill, Oklahoma, formerly of Porter, were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2007 in Greenwood Cemetery in Porter with the Reverend Tommy Hobbs officiating. Mrs. Smith was born April 6, 1931 to her parents, William Paul and Louise Parthina (Williams) Hutton. She grew up and attended school in the Vann’s Lake Community near Porter. Marjorie worked for several years as a waitress and cook at Baker’s Restaurant. She later owned and operated an auction and resale shop in Keys, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being on the water, fishing and boating and she became quite skilled as a Keno player in the casinos. Her greatest love was her family, to whom she devoted her life. Marjorie passed away Monday, October 22, 2007 at her home near Keys. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph S. Smith in June, 1976 and by her eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Marilyn Smith Nickerson and her husband, David of Grove, Oklahoma, Jimmy Spitler and his wife, Jenny of Woodall, Oklahoma, Ira Smith and his wife, Dana of Keys, Scott Smith and his wife, Sandy of Porter and Blaine Smith and his wife, Susan also of Porter; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a great number of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Cremation and memorial services were directed by Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner.
