Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *************************************************************** TAHLEQUAH DAILY PRESS TAHLEQUAH, OK MAY 7, 2002 PAT GRANT Tahlequah---Funeral services for Pat Grant, 70, of Tahlequah, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. J. E. Cook officiating. Services are under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Pat Grant, son of the late Ben Grant and Eleanor (Haywood) Grant, was born Jan. 23. 1932, in Garland City, Ark., and departed this life on Monday, May 6, 2002, in Muskogee. Pat grew up in Garland City, Ark. He married Beverly Faye Owen-Grant on May 29, 1981, in Dallas Texas. Pat moved to Tahlequah in 1985. Pat was a charter member of the Northside Baptist Church, where he taught God's children in Sunday school class. He was the foreman for Spring Creek Ranch where he took care of the cattle and anything else one might need . He loved life and was happy to be here and loved to fish. In later years, he enjoyed gardening and sharing his wonderful flowers with friends. But most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren and spending time with them. His parents, grandparents and two sisters, Lula Mae Cobb and Geneva Willingham preceded Pat in death. He is survived by his loving wife Beverly of the home; nine children, James Lee, Patsy Green and Ann Lee, all of Arkansas, James Earl Grant of Lovelady, Texas, Pamela, Shelia, Edward, Azel and Sharon of Dallas, Texas and Anthony Grant of the home; three stepchildren, Todd Phillips and wife Jane, of Homor, Alaska; Paula Langsworthy and husband Kurt, of Salina, Kan.; Linda Falling and husband Darryl of Oklahoma City; and a special daughter Alexie McMath of Tahlequah; 27 grandchildren; Chase Martin and Alex of Salina, Kan.; Jake Phillips and Luke of Home, Alaska; Lynse Falling of Oklahoma City; as well as many friends and loved ones.
