Deacon Kenneth Halpain will officiate. Roxie B. Keeton was born September 20, 1925 in Hulbert, Oklahoma to Festus and Clara (Webb) Baker, who precede her in death. She grew up in Hulbert and graduated from Hulbert High School in 1943. Roxie was married to Elmer Keeton for 59 years until his death in 2003. She was a homemaker and was very active in her church, Freewill Baptist Church of Wagoner, until the past few years when her health kept her from doing the things she had done. She and Elmer were leaders in developing the church as it is today. For many years she and her husband were seen at the church organizing and working at the dinners, and generally providing a sustaining presence. She was always cooking and caring for family, church and friends alike. In 1969 Roxie became the Clerk and Treasurer for the church, and she served as organist for many years. Roxie departed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at her Wagoner home. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jerry Peck of Wagoner; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Mary Keeton of Hulbert and Richard and Linda Keeton of Wagoner; one grandson, Chris Keeton; two great grandchildren, Skyler and Josh Keeton; other relatives, especially Jim and Pearline Rhodes and her friends, including one life-long friend of Hulbert. Interment will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Duard Rhodes, Bradley Peck, Robby Jackson, Terry Jones, Nathan Jones, Josh Hughes, Scotty Burge and Larry Kennedy.
