Bobby Long officiating Services will be under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Pallbearers are Jerry Smith, Ronnie Smith, Robert Smith, Jim Mayfield, George Yarbrough, Wayne Barnes and Joshuah Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Pete Barnes, Mike Mayfield and Tom Wall. Smith was born Nov. 20, 1945, at Visalia, Calif., the son of Carl Truman Smith and Pauline (Logan) Stallion, and he passed from this life on Saturday, May 4, 2002 in Tahlequah. Richard grew up in Visalia, Calif., and attended Redwood High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked at Dairyman Cooperative Creamery in Tulare, Calif., retiring in 1993. He married Lorinda on Oct. 26, 1985, in Las Vegas. They moved to Tahlequah in 1993, where he owned and operated Smith Appraisal Co. Richard loved deer hunting, gambling and enjoyed his grandkids, family and friends. Smith was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Lorinda Smith of the home; his mother, Pauline Stallion of Visalia, Calif.; his children, Tom Smith and wife Lisa of Tulare,Calif., Colette Wall of Pryor, Cathy Perez and husband Johnny, of Tulare, Calif., Melissa Smith of Tulare, Calif., and Robin Reinhart of Tahlequah; his brothers, Robert Smith of Visalia, Calif., Ronnie Smith of Jerome, Idaho, Blaine Smith of Juneau, Alaska, and Larry Smith of Portland, Ore.; his sisters, Ruth Alice Egger of Visalia, Calif., and Carline Yarbough of West Plains, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and a host of friends and loved ones.
