Robert Willcox Baltosser was born September 2, 1911 in Frutia, Colorado and died August 4, 2002 in Tahlequah. Baltosser graduated from high school in 1927. After high school he attended New Mexico School of Mines, where he graduated in 1934 with a bachelor of science degree in mining engineering. He later married Aleen Odell on June 30, 1938 in Farmington, New Mexico in an early morning garden ceremony. Immediately after they were married the couple moved to Houston, Texas where Baltosser was employed by Brown Geophysical Co. In 1945 they moved to Broken Arrow where he took a job with Seismograph Service Corp. The couple lived in Broken Arrow until 1975. After his retirement, Baltosser moved to Parkhill. He attended the Presbyterian Church nearly all his life, becoming a member in 1947. He became an elder and was ordained in January 1948. He served on several committees while attending church in Broken Arrow, as well as in the First Presbyterian Church of Tahlequah. Baltosser was preceded in death by his wife Aleen; his parents; and his brother Will Willcox Baltosser. He is survived by his daughter, Roberta Meaders and husband Bartley of Citrus Heights, California; his granddaughter, Aprille Bromley and husband Bill and their two children, Arianna and Carter Bromley of Waleska, Georgia; a nephew, William Baltosser and wife Ginger of Little Rock, Arkansas and his sister-in- law, Onita Baltosser of Silver City, New Mexico.
