Burial followed at Moody Cemetery. Sylvia Davis-Matlock, daughter of the late Charlie and Idella (Cole) Davis was born Feb. 2, 1914 in Parkhill and departed this life on July 23, 2002 at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 22 days. A life long resident of Cherokee County, Sylvia was an avid homemaker who adored spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. In her lesiure time, she enjoyed raising beutiful vegetable gardens and canning. She was also a talented quilter. Sylvia was a member of the Moody Church of Christ for many years. She cherished the friendship of her special church family. On Oct. 25, 1930 Sylvia and Alby Matlock were married in Parkhill. He preceded her in death, along with her parents, four brothers; Troy, Loyd, Everett and Fred and two sisters, Lori and Lottie. She is survived by two sons, Leon Matlock and wife Lorene of Bartlesville, Kirby Matlock and wife Cathy of Tulsa; twin girls, Joyce Randell and husband Ray, and Loyce Tyler and husband Carl Don, all of Garden Dale, Texas; Gladys Crawford and husband Charles of Moody; two brothers, Roy Davis and wife Sylvia, of Tahlequah, and Bud Davis and wife Geneva of California; two sisters, Estelle Skinner and husband Clyde of Oklahoma City and Marie Holden of California; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Grandchildren are; Mike and David Matlock, Chuck, Steve and Gary Crawford, Monty Randell, Connie Sisco, Kimberly Cagle, Lori Barnes, Loyce Ann Flowers, Debbie Murray, Diane Nichols and Jeanie Vargas. ************************************************************************ http://www.usgwarchives.net ************************************************************************
