She was the daughter of the late Sandra Scott (Dandringe) and Olen Ray Scott. She was raised in the Welling area and attended grade school t Tenkiller Elementery. Tonya then gratuated from Cave Springs High Scool in 1981. She soon after gave birth to her first daughter, Latishia Sanders. Following Tish's birth, she married her lifetime husband, Dennis Sanders Jr. on November 29, 1983. Tonya then gave birth her second saughter Denise Sanders. After the birth of Denise, Tonya attended college at Northeastern University in Tahlequah, but lacked one semester from graduating when she became pregnant with her third daughter, Lacey Sanders. Tonya always wanted to finish her education but never did. In 1993, she became pregnant with her last child Dennis Sanders III. In 1997, she got her LPN licenses and became a Home Health Nurse. Tonya also loved to rake hay with Dennis. Tonya had two brothers; Ricky Scott and Randy Scott. She also had one sister, Tammy Scott. Tonya was the most caring and wonderful person.
