Archivist, billcook44@aol.com *********************************************************************** Virginia Littlefield Peggs, OK-Funeral services for Virginia Littlefield, 71 of Peggs, will be held Friday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Peggs Community Church with Rev. Jack Battenfield and Rev. Rex Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Pallbearers will be Lewis Rill, Don Lewis, Mike Parrish, Doug Maag, Terrill White and Jim Forst. Honorary pallbearers are Walter Weaver, Jack Parrish, Dwight Rhodes, Solly Littledave, Don Maggard and Darrell Lewis. Virginia was born July 4, 1926 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Arthur and Nancy (Downing) Taylor and died Tuesday, March 10, 1998 in Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. On January 6, 1944 Virginia and Lee Samuel Littlefield were married in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, in 1986. Her parents, sister, Irene Rill, brother Eli Taylor and grandson, Samuel T. Smith, also preceded her in death. Virginia was a member of Peggs Community Church, Eastern Star and the Jordanettes Singing Group. She was a giving person, always available to play the piano for community and social events over the years. She is survived by her five children, Sam Littlefield, Connie Bolay, Debra Kay Smith, all of Peggs, Mickie Garner of Locust Grove and Kenny Littlefield of Peggs; two brothers, Lawrence Taylor of Tulsa and Terry Taylor of Long Branch, New Jersey; two sisters, Helen Rutherford of Peggs and Geraldine Bradshaw of White Salmon, Washington, eight grandchildren; Michelle Fisher, Kim Culloty, Sidney Bolay, Jeffrey Smith, Ginger Smith, Kyle Smith, Michael Garner and Chris Garner and eight great grandchildren.
