Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *************************************************************** The following Obit submitted and rewritten By County Archivist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Published 29Jan2004 Services for Vina Mae Englebright, 71, of Peggs, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at the Pentecostal Church of Peggs, with Pastor Dennis Fine officiating. Interment followed at New Home Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. Vina Mae Scott-Englebright was born to Harrison and Rena (Shelly) Scott on Oct. 5, 1932, in Danville, Ark., and passed peacefully from this life on Jan. 25, 2004, in Tulsa, with her children at her side. A lifetime resident of Peggs, Vina Mae was a cook for Green Acres and Locust Grove Nursing Homes. When she wasn't cooking meals, she could be found in her flower beds, tending the flowers she shared with family and friends. She was faithful to the Lord and attended both Peggs Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Full Gospel Church in Locust Grove. Her children and grandchildren and grandchildren were special to her and she spend all her free time with them. She will be missed by all who knew her. Vina Mae was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ben Joice; her first husband, Otis Ray Butler in 1981; and her second husband, Dean Englebright in 2004. She is survived by seven children, one sister, a stepsister, two stepbrothers, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
