Renus Warren oficiating. Burial will be at New Home Cemetery in Peggs. (She was buried at Blue Springs Cem. near Gideon north of Tahlequah. My grand father Callie Neel insisted she be buried in Blue Springs Cemetery. This was against her wishes for she wanted to be buried at New Home. She told her daughter Jewell that Blue Springs was too rocky and she did not want to be buried in such a rocky place.)Born Octover 13, 1889, in Flint, (Goingsnake Dist. now Delaware Co., OK.) she died Monday (Sunday June 30th.) in Tahlequah City Hospital. She had been a resident of this area all her (adult) life and was a member of Peggs, Free Will Bapist Church. Survivors include her husband, B. C. Neel of Tahlequah; five sons, Bert of Riverside, California. Ollie of Long Beach, California, L.C. of Bixby, Robert of Stanton, California and Roy of Tahlequah; two daughters, Jewell Van Osdol of Santa Fe Springs, California, and Geraldine Crawford of Muskogee; and one sister, Mary Horsley of Anahiem, California; 28 grandchildren; 19great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild. (One son, Jay Neel, preceded her in death.) Pallbearers will be John, Dwight, J.C. and kenneth Neel, Dennis and Gary Wing.
