No service is planned. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, Hospice, 2600 Siskiyou Blvd., Suite 100, Medford, OR 97504, or the Southern Oregon Humane Society, 2910 Table Rock Road, Medford, OR 97501. She was born April 10, 1933, in Boswell, Okla., to William and Katherine (Holloway) Stinson. She grew up in the Southwest. On Aug. 18, 1949, in Las Cruces, N.M., she married Charles "Pete" Bishop, who died in 2002. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1973 from California. Mrs. Bishop received her nursing license in Texas in 1968. She worked as a nurse in various locations including Rogue Valley Manor, Crater General and Three Fountains. She would later become certified as a saw filer and worked at MedCo Lumber for a number of years. She attended Trail Christian Fellowship periodically and was a member of the Friends for Friends Club. Mrs. Bishop enjoyed camping, animals, crocheting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include two daughters, Charyl Ray, Medford, and Bobbie Paquette, Belfair, Wash.; a son, William, Rogue River; a sister, Sylvie Young, Yuma, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
