Wilbur E. Blair

MEMPHIS - Wilbur E. Blair, 84, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Childress Cemetery at 
Childress with the Rev. Kerry Wood, minister of music at First Baptist 
Church in Childress, officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Home 
of Childress.

Mr. Blair was born in Hugo, Okla. He farmed in the Cee Vee / Tell area 
from the late 1920s until 1955. He lived in Muleshoe for 25 years and had 
lived in Memphis for the past eight years.

He was a disabled veteran of World War II and had received two Purple 
Hearts. He married Vera Faye Mullins in 1942 at Childress.

Survivors include his wife.

The family will receive visitors from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral 
home.
