Barber, Mary "Tootsie" Mary "Tootsie" Barber, 86, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church. Burial: Dido Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home. Mary was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Soper, Okla. She was better known as Mama, Grandma, Tootsie or Grandma Kisses. She was a very strong, loving woman who never met a stranger. To know her was to love her. We can find a little peace in knowing that she was met in heaven by those who arrived before her. Survivors: Children, Patricia Moran of Newark, Reba Burns and husband, Charles, of Santo, Norman Barber and wife, Deloris, of Saginaw, Melinda Gayle Barber of Justin, Michael Barber and wife, Debbie, of Azle, Connie Crowe and husband, Benny, of Weatherford and Rhonda Puente and husband, Alfonso, of Fort Worth; brother, Pete Riggs of Iredale; sisters, Joyce Roebuck and Frankie Hearne, both of Soper, Okla.; 23 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
