Burns Jr., Webb 1923 - 2004 Webb Burns Jr., 81, a retired carpenter, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, in Arlington. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born Dec. 10, 1923, to Webb Burns Sr. and Cora Matheny Burns in Boswell, Okla. He proudly served in World War II with an Army Seabee unit in North Africa, Germany and France. He was a 50-year Gold Card holder at the Arlington Carpenters local. He loved to fish and play dominoes. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany; and great-grandson, Blaise. Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Fay Burns; daughters, Glenda Phillips and husband, Bob of Fort Worth, Sharron Garza and husband, Willie of Euless and Rhonda Vance of Maypearl; sons, Webb Michael Burns and wife, Cheryl of Stephenville and James L. Burns and wife, Diana of Crowley; sisters, Drucilla Pikens, Ruth Thompson and Bobbye Sweeny; brothers, Eugene Burns and Jimmy Burns; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
