All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Greenlawn Memorial Park--Bakersfield CA Beason, Ray Glen Ray Glen Beason Sept. 26, 1925 - Aug. 11, 2007 Born in Grant, Oklahoma to Ed and Lee La Beason, Ray Beason served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. During this time, he met and married his wife Imogene Stephens in Amherst, Texas in1944. After his service in World War II, they moved to McFarland, California and farmed throughout the San Joaquin Valley until his retirement. Ray appreciated the simple things in life; he loved family gatherings and good food. An avid L.A. Dodger fan, he enjoyed watching and attending ballgames with family and friends. Ray was preceded in death by Imogene, his wife of 59 years. He is survived by son, Dennis and wife, Linda; daughter, Janice Eaton and husband, James; son, Kerry and companion, Sandi Hogan; son, Stephen and wife, Lisa; daughter, Becky Hosman and husband, Steve; 14 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren; sisters, Cloann Schinke and Martha Ferguson. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 14th, from 2-8:30 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary on River Blvd., Bakersfield. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 15th, at 1:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary, River Blvd. In lieu of flowers, family would like donations to be made to Optimal Hospice, Bakersfield California. Special thanks go to Optimal Hospice and Rosewood Health Center whose staffs provided loving care and support during this difficult time. You are all truly a blessing.
