All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Oakwood Cemetery--Wewoka OK Cox, Carl Delbert Funeral services for a Wewoka resident, Carl Delbert Cox, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Church of Christ, in Wewoka. Internment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, under the direction of the Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka. Carl D. Cox passed away April 4, 2003 at the age of 91. He was born March 31, 1912, at Hugo, Oklahoma Samuel E. and Mary Lou Tisha Cox. Carl also lived and attended school in Tulsa, he moved to Wewoka in 1926. Carl married Mabel Harris June 14, 1933. Carl was an automobile dealer in Wewoka for 50 years. He was in the real estate business for 20 years. Carl was an active member of Wewoka Church of Christ. Carl was extremely proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. On his death bed he talked of how blessed he was that all his children and grandchildren loved and served the lord. He is survived by 3 sons Jim and wife Shirley Cox, Joe and wife Dorothy Cox, and Johnny and wife Carolyn Cox. And 1 daughter Jane and husband James Buchanan, 10 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by Mabel Harris Cox in 1992, and one daughter Joan in 1937.
