CALDWELL, Stephen W. 

Stephen W. CALDWELL, 3/4 Choctaw of Valliant, Oklahoma, age 80, 
died at his home May 4, 1991. Mr.Caldwell was born Sept. 12, 1910 
in Rufe, Oklahoma. He was the son of Willie J. and Mary Ann WALLACE 
CALDWELL. He lived in McCurtain County for years. His employment 
had been with the Weyerhaeuser at Wright City, Oklahoma. He retired 
after working there for 20 years. He married Marietta THOMPSON in 
1934, she died June 16, 1989. Burial at High Hill Indian Cemetery 
near Spencerville, Oklahoma. Survivors include two brothers, C.W. 
and Coleman; and adopted son Johnn and numerous nephews and nieces.
