He was born April 29, 1937 in Hugo, OK., and married Alice Bisgaard on June 7, 1958 in Holtville. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church in Holtville with Dr. Don L. Crain officiating. Jack is survived by his wife, Alice Carley of Holtville; daughter, Lura Carley-Forkeotes of Mission Viejo; granddaughter, Sophia Lynn of Mission Viejo; sister, Patsy Taylor of Brawley and brother, Morris Carley of Brawley. Published in the Imperial Valley Press Online on 4/12/2007. ========= Roy Jack Carley Apr. 29, 1937 -Apr. 5, 2007 Roy Jack Carley was born April 29, 1937 in Hugo, Oklahoma and spent most of his life in Holtville. He passed away on April 5, 2007 after a short illness. Jack graduated from Holtville High School in 1956 and worked for IID from 1954 to 1973. Along with Dale Terrill, he operated C & T Air Conditioning for many years. Subsequently he moved to San Diego, for a few years, operating RJC Mechanical in that area and returning to the Valley about 9 years ago. Jack married the former Alice Bisgaard in 1958 and they had two daughters, Bonnie and Laura. Jack loved sand buggies, model airplanes and boats and could often be found at local coffee shops visiting with his many friends. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Cornerstone Community Church in Holtvillea. He is survived by his wife, Alice, daughter Laura and husband, Paul and granddaughter, Sophia Lynn; sister, Patsy Taylor, and brother, Morris Carley, along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Bonnie Lynn and granddaughter Kirstie Alice, and parents, Roy and Louise Carley.
