All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Cochnauer, Junior Carl Junior Carl Cochnauer Resident of Antioch Junior Carl Cochnauer, "Don," died February 17, 2007 at the age of 75. Born May 29, 1931 in Boswell, OK, his family relocated to Brentwood, CA, in 1942. Don served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954 on the USS Cushing as a ship swimmer. He came home a decorated war hero. Don's wonder smile, enthusiastic personality, tender spirit and sense of humor made everyone his immediate friend. He worked at Gaylord Container for 36 years. He attended Glad Tidings and Family Bible Church for many years. His hobbies included golf, travel, gardening, eating, and his wonderful grandchildren. He was loved and admired by his family. Don is survived by Fern, his loving wife of 53 years; son, Brett and daughter-in-law, Beverly; son, Glenn; two adored grandchildren, Heather and Derek; sisters, Alpha Uptagrove and Dorothy Henderson; mother-in-law, Geri Martz; and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry; mother, Sylvia; and brothers, Calvin and Albert. A private family viewing was held February 19 at Higgins Memorial Chapel. Friends and family are invited to a memorial luncheon, March 3, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Delta Villa Estates, 1900 Strasbourg Lane, Antioch. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA.
