Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tucumcari, N.M., with the Rev. Bob Miller, pastor of South Georgia Baptist Church in Amarillo, and the Rev. Danny Logan, pastor of Bell Avenue Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Mrs. Evitt was born May 13, 1910, in Hugo, Okla. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by everyone. She was a former resident of Claremont Retirement Center, and a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn Register and husband, Ted, and Edna Ruth Blasingame and husband, Carroll, all of Amarillo, and JoAnn Haines Clark of Tucumcari; three granddaughters, Jeannette Maddaford and husband, Rex, and Thelma Jo Riddle and husband, Mike, all of Tucumcari, and Joyce Moore and husband, Al, of Wildorado; five grandsons, Butch Blasingame, Bill Blasingame and Rick Hedgecock, all of Amarillo, Joe Hedgecock of Phoenix and Tim Bowman and wife, Amanda, of Tucson; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to American Heart Association, 6605 W. Interstate 40, Building A-6, Amarillo, TX 79106; or American Diabetes Association, 815 Brazos St., Austin TX 78701.
