William T. Huckaby

William T. Huckaby, 86, of Tracy, Calif., a former Amarillo resident, died 
Thursday, April 10, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery 
with the Rev. Don Martin of Primitive Baptist Church of Perryton 
officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 
Virginia Circle.

Mr. Huckaby was born in Boswell, Okla., and married Ruby Ola Burgess in 
1928 at Tipton. She died in 1987. He moved to Amarillo from Fremont, 
Calif., in 1976 and moved back to Fremont in 1987. He was retired from the 
public school system in Fremont and was a member of Primitive Baptist 
Church of Fremont. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Wayne 
Huckaby, in 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Huckaby of Tracy and Billie Dee Huckaby 
of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
