Doug Passmore officiating. Mrs. Hodge died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Jefferson Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 30, 1925, in Boswell to Herndon and Mattie Jeffers. She spent her childhood in Boswell where she attended school. She later moved to Lawton. She married retired Sgt. 1st Class James Hodge on Aug. 29, 1952, in Lawton. She was a member of First Baptist East and active in her neighborhood watch group. She was a long time member of St. Mary No. 77 O.E.S./P.H.A. She worked for Chuck and Sara Wade for many years. Survivors include a son, Frank Love, Lawton; a granddaughter, Melody, Lawton; a great-grandson, Donnel, Lawton; two sisters: Mary Talley, Sacremento, Calif.; and Emma Fisher, Benbrook, Texas; a brother, Jessie Jeffers, Denver, Colo.; and many relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters; her parents; a brother, Arthur Lee Jeffers; and a sister, Eula Mae Dominick.
