All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :Mt Olivet Cemetery--Hugo OK Durant Daily Democrat 23 Dec 2004 Sam Howard Harrison, 89 A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Jackson Street Church of Christ, Hugo, for Sam Howard Harrison, 89, Hugo, who died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, in Durant. Brother Donnie Bates will officiate. He was born Oct. 29, 1915, in Ravena, Texas, to Ollie W. and Ethel B. (Brock) Harrison. He married Vivian Dawn Jan. 1, 1935, in Hugo. He moved to Hugo from Parkers Grove, Texas, 70 years ago. He was a member of the Jackson Street Church of Christ and the Hugo Historical Society. He was a locomotive engineer. People knew him as the train man. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by son Toby Harrison and wife Linda, Calera; sister Hazel Newman, Broken Arrow; grandchildren Tod Harrison and wife Lori, Jody Harrison and wife Rhonda, Tony Harrison, Shelly Lewis and husband Wallace, and Russ Harrison and wife Cheryl; and eight great-grandchildren, Cody Harrison, Tonnie Harrison, Grady Harrison, Tobi Harrison, Riley Harrison, Brady Harrison, Dillon Sheffield and Gavin Harrison. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hugo. Family hour will be from 6-7 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel.
