George Daniel Harlan

LITTLEFIELD - George Daniel Harlan, 82, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m Monday in First Baptist Church 
with the Rev. Donnie Howell, retired minister, officiating. Cremation 
will be by Hammons Funeral Home.

Mr. Harlan was born in Grandview and, in 1948, moved to Fieldton, 
where he farmed until 1980. In 1985, he established G.D. Harlan Real 
Estate and moved to Littlefield in 1987. He retired in 1996. He 
served as deacon at both the Fieldton Baptist Church, where he taught 
Sunday school, and Littlefield First Baptist Church. He was a member 
of the Open Heart Club of the Southwest.

He married Maurine Shepherd in 1938 at Hugo, Okla.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Harlan of Amarillo; a 
daughter, Lougenia Harlan of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.
