Jones Elvie Irene Jones, 95, of Woodbridge died Sept. 4, 2002, at a convalescent hospital in Lodi. Born in Hugo, Okla., she was a Yuba City resident from 1948 to 1949. She was a homemaker and worked for C.R. van Buskirk Farms for 14 years during the grape season packing table grapes. Survivors include a daughter, Robbie Clark of Lodi; three sons, Roy E. Jones of Yuba City, Samuel A. Jones of Pleasanton and Harold J. Jones of Belfair, Wash.; two sisters, Leona Walls and Ella Ollar, both of Yuba City; 23 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; and 21 great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Albert Jones; two sons, James W. Jones and Loy L. Jones; a daughter, Margie Farris; an infant daughter; a sister, Ollie Earl; and four brothers, Walter Sterling, Rubin Sterling, Gene Sterling and Wilbur Sterling. Contributions may be made to the Hospice of San Joaquin, 2609 E. Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA 95210. Services: Services were held.
