Burial will be at the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home of Lone Wolf. Floyd Eugene "Gene" McDaniel was born June 4, 1927 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Andrew and Trudie McDaniel and died Firday, November 7, 2003 at Bell Avenue Nursing Center in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Gene started school in Chrystal, Oklahoma at the age of 7 and went through the 5th grade there. He then moved to Paoli, for on year. He was married to Margie Jackson in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on July 27, 1944. The c oupld lived in Paoli for 9 years. They then moved to Reydon where Gene pulled broomcorn for a living. Their son Floyd was born at Truman Farmers in 1946 north of Cheyenne. At that time Floyd was milking cows. Their eggs, milk and house were furnished. Next they moved to Wheeler, Texas and then to Canadian, Texas where their son Lloyd was born. They then moved to Bethany, where they rented a house. Their third son Bill was born in Oklahoma City. They then moved from Bethany back to VCheyenne where Floyd worked for B-Line Construction for 3 1/2 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Trudie McDaniel; one brother, Cleo McDaniel; one sister, Joyce Skyworth Matlock; and one son Billy Gene McDaniel. He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Floyd and wife, Linda, of Hammon, Oklahoma, Lloyd of Woodward, Jackie and Mark Padget of Perryton, Texas, Danny and Rick Creswell of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, James McDaniel and wife, Annalee of Elk City, Oklahoma; a sister Janice Marlene and husband, Tony of Michigan; sister-in-law, Louise McDaniel of Chickasha, Oklahoma; his companion of 25 years Kathryn Bacon; 24 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; niices, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
