All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Altus Times 26 April 2004 Jack Wicker McMillin Jack Wicker McMillin, died on Saturday, April 24, 2004, at his home, following a short illness. He was born on June 14, 1915, to Robert L. and Thirza M. (Wicker) McMillin in Hugo. He moved to Blair in 1934. He was married to Wyn Nelle Ward on March 3, 1939. He was engaged in farming for several years. He did blacksmithing and welding for a time, and then went to work for Jackson County as a heavy equipment operator, until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blair and Woodmen of the World. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister and brother-in- law, Emma and Carl Grantham. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Wyn Nelle, of the home; one daughter, Gayle Conger; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Judy McMillin, and Tommy and Estelle McMillin, all of Blair. One brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Wanda McMillin, of Paris, Texas. Seven grandchildren; Kay Meredith, Richard Conger, Kari Ramirez, Johnelle Evans and husband Jon, Lissa McMillin, Mike Miller and wife Debbie, Bobby Miller and wife Debbie. Thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great- grandchildren, plus a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Blair.
