Milton "Milt" Medcalf Jr. will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford. The Rev. John Dungey of Central Point will officiate. Mr. Medcalf, 80, of Conway Spring, Kan., formerly of Medford, died Feb. 9, 2002, at Spring View Manor in Conway Springs, Kan. He was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Hugo, Okla., a son of Cicero M. and Bertha Jane (Winkler) Medcalf Sr. He moved to the Rogue Valley after serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On Jan. 25, 1953, he married Audrey June Fletcher, who died in 1983. They lived in the Rogue Valley until 1978. Mr. Medcalf was a salesman for Valley Wholesale Company in Medford. After retiring, the family moved in 1978 to Lake Tahoe, Calif., where he and his wife studied to become real estate agents, which they did for five years. In 1983, they moved to Rocklin, Calif. He lived in Rocklin until 1995, when he moved to Harper, Kan., to be near his daughter, Gail Swafford. Survivors include three daughters, Diane Lewis, Salem, Linda Rich, Sacramento, Calif., and Gail Swafford, Harper, Kan.; a brother, Ben, Gurdon, Ark.; a sister, Juanita Council, Marshall, Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Victor and Mote; and two sisters, Byrda Rondoni and Audra Williams.
