NE. MILLER, known to most as D.R., had rejoined the circus last week to celebrate the first birthday of an Asian elephant born last year in Hugo. MILLER owned 36 elephants and had a breeding farm in Texas that he had planned to move to Hugo. Mr. MILLER, 83, underwent a series of medical tests Tuesday and was released to rest in his motor home on the circus lot. He died Wednesday afternoon. Services will be held between circus performances Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999 in Littleton CO. Once the circus closes its season and returns to Hugo in November, services will be held in Hugo and Mr. MILLER will be buried in Showman's Rest, a special area of the Mt. Olivet Cemetery reserved for circus people.
