All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ Laura Elizabeth Roberts, 84, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with the Rev. Windell Taylor and the Rev. Chuck Neal officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Roberts was born in Hugo, Okla. She married Surry Odell Roberts in 1935 at Clayton, N.M. They moved to Amarillo in 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 25, 1990; and a grandson, Kurry Roberts on May 21, 1990. Survivors include three sons, Larry O. Roberts of Amarillo, Farris Wayne Roberts of Rochester, Minn., and Ronald D. Roberts of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Lesly J. Stark of Valencia, Calif.; two sisters, Aileen Alexander of Farmers Branch and Mary Ann Key of Snyder; a brother, J.O. Morrison of Snyder; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Southeast Baptist Church or Parkinson's Disease Association. The family will greet guests from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
