All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hillcrest Memorial Park--Bakersfield CA Speegle, Foy Johnson Foy Johnson Speegle was born on January 3, 1922, in Messer, (Chocktaw County), Oklahoma. He went to be with our Lord, on June 15, 2007. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula; and daughter, LeAnn Foster. Moving to California as a young man, Foy worked for the CCC at Springville being Honorably Discharged September 28, 1940. He joined the U.S. Army February 22, 1941, serving in WWII, the European African Middle Eastern Theater. Foy was Honorably Discharged July 11, 1945. He then fell in love with Eula Rogers and their love remained devoted for 62 years with only death separating them. Foy worked for Belridge Oil Company, retiring after 32 years. Foy leaves behind two sons, John C. Speegle and wife, Linda of Long Beach, E.L. Speegle and wife, Viki of Bakersfield; six grandchildren, Lisa Jackson and husband, Mike, Joshua Speegle and wife, Kim, Jeremy Foster, Caleb Speegle and wife, Kim, Justin Speegle and wife, Lauren and Lindsey Speegle; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Pop will be greatly missed, yet his values and devotion to Jesus Christ will continue to impact his family for many generations to come. Viewing begins today Tuesday, June 19th, from 4-8 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 20th, 9:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park/Whispering Pines.
