"Bill" William A. "Bill" Sutton, 83, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Bill was born April 18, 1922, in Hugo, Okla., to Roy and Louise Sutton. He moved to Fort Worth and entered first grade at Carrol Peak Elementary School. In that classroom he picked a little girl named Mary Ruth Hester to be his girlfriend. Almost every day he brought her candy and walked her home from school. That love affair continued until they were married in 1940. On Oct. 15, 2005, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Bill and Ruth were co-founders and owners of Handley Meadowbrook Plumbing Company, 6009 E. Lancaster, until they retired after 30 years, in 1983. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church of Colleyville. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all. Survivors: Devoted wife, Ruth Sutton; children, Eddy Sutton and wife, Sally, of Hurst, Rebecca Stewart and husband, Jerry, of Lynden, Wash., and Catherine Fisher and husband, Dr. Russell Fisher, of Colleyville; brother, Preston Leroy Sutton of Modesto, Calif.; grandchildren, Sandi, Shannon and Jay; great-grandchildren, Alec, Jordan, Shea, Brenden, Caitlyn, Sabrina and Cinamyn; and nephew, Bob Sutton.
