Roy E. Upton

Roy E. Upton, 73, of Amarillo died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel 
of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Lloyd Burd officiating. Burial 
will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Upton was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Sawyer, Okla. He was a member of 
Christian Heritage Church and Hardcore Outreach Ministries. He married 
Alice Mae Boyd on March 4, 1950, in Wellington.

Survivors include his wife; six sons, George Mike Boyd of Washington, James 
Paul Upton, Roy Allen Upton and Warren Upton, all of Amarillo, Steve Upton 
of San Antonio and Jeff Upton of Marshal, Ark.; a daughter, Mary Alice 
Splawn of Amarillo; four brothers, his twin, Coy Upton and David Upton, 
both of Amarillo, George Monroe Upton of Eureka, Calif., and Curtis Upton 
of El Paso; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
