All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Memorial Park Cemetery--Tulsa OK WILKINSON -- Elmer Denton "Bill", was born to Fred and Maud Wilkinson in Spencerville, OK, on September 7, 1916. He departed this life Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at the age of 90. He was married to Laura Ethel Wilkinson on March 27, 1939, in Deering, KS. Bill and Ethel moved to Tulsa in 1941, where they raised their 3 sons, Fred Wilkinson, now of Dallas, TX, Larry Wilkinson of Broken Arrow, and Richard Wilkinson of Tulsa. He opened his own business, Wilkinson Mfg. Company, in 1946 and successfully operated the business until 1991. Besides being a devoted husband for over 65 years and a wonderful father, he had many loving friends and was respected by all who knew him. After accepting Christ as his personal Lord and Savior in 1950, he and his wife joined Immanuel Baptist Church, where they served faithfully for over 50 years. His life's commitment was first to his Lord Jesus Christ, then to his wife and family, and finally to his business, where God blessed him abundantly. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Ethel in 2004 and by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by: his 3 sons, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Oklahoma Baptist Children's Home-Owasso, 12700 E. 76th St. N., Owasso, OK 74055. Service is set for 1 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK, and interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Stanleys Funeral Services, 743-6271.
