Williams O.D. (Odis Denton) Williams, 68, died peacefully at his home following a lengthy illness. O.D. was born in Apple, Okla. on Dec. 14, 1937, to Manuel and Virble Williams. He moved to San Pablo in 1951, where he attended school. Graduating in June of 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Judy, and went to work for Standard Oil Refinery in Richmond, where he worked until 1970, when he moved his family to Napa to form the partnership of McLean and Williams Well Drilling and Pump Service. O.D. enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding dirt bikes in the mountains and racing sports cars. In all of his activities, his family was always a part of them and went with him. After retiring, he enjoyed motor home traveling and spending the winters in Southern California and western Arizona. He helped form a Napa Branch of California Groundwater Association. He served the association for many years, holding offices in the Napa Branch and going on to serve as state president. O.D. is survived by his wife, Jewel (Judy) Williams; his oldest daughter, Sherry Salinas and her husband, Gonzalo; and grandchildren, Shane Ragan, Jamie Ragan and Katie Salinas, all of Napa; his youngest daughter, Deana Heatherly and her husband, Brent; and grandchildren, Andrea Basden and John Basden, all of Altus, Okla. Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12 at Treadway & Wigger Funeral Chapel, 623 Coombs St., with the Rev. Charles Jeffus officiating. Interment will follow at Tulocay Cemetery, 411 Coombsville Rd.
